The oldest of four children, I was born in Tyler, Minnesota, in 1973.  When I was fifteen, we moved to Rapid City, South Dakota, which I still consider my home.

I'm not married, nor do I have children.  I am an aunt, however, and do an excellent job of babysitting and corrupting nephews and nieces.  I am totally to blame that one nephew is interested in the Air Force after I introduced him to Stargate.

I've worked several different jobs.  I've been a supervisor for grades 3-6 at a Christian school; a gift shop clerk; a library page (that's a job, not a book part); a library tech (which is one step up from a page); and a retail clerk at a used bookstore.

Writing is my favorite thing to do.  I'm especially fascinated by different cultures and the alien/human interaction in science fiction/fantasy stories.

Currently, I am pursuing an anthropology degree at college.  I'm also interested in ancient history and mythology.
